2025 „Emmanuel” Choir

The „Emmanuel” choir began its activities in January 2010 at the Ivano-Frankivsk region’s Association of Polish Language Teachers, based at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Dolina near Stanislaviv /Ukraine/.

In the choir „Emmanuel” sing: teachers and students of music schools of Polish origin from Dolina and Kalusz. The first conductor of the choir was Mrs. Tetiana Ozirska, a teacher at the Music School in Kalush. Since 2017, the conductor of the choir is Mrs. Halyna Bulavinets, who graduated from the specialty of conductor of choir and vocal ensemble at the Vasyl Barvinsky Music School in Drohobytsya in 1996. The „Emmanuel” choir very often gives concerts during the patriotic and religious celebrations held in Ukraine (Bolechiv, Dolina, Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lutsk, Lviv, Kyiv). In addition, several times the choir’s tour went through Polish cities: Rzeszów, Gorlice, Biecz, Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Kraków, Opole, Wrocław, Poznań, Gniezno, Szczecin, Stargard Szczeciński, Gryfino, Bytom, Przemyśl, Lubaczów, Pułtusk, Warsaw and many other smaller cities and towns.

The choir’s repertoire includes religious, folk and patriotic songs in Polish and Ukrainian. Depending on the needs and expectations of those who invite the choir to perform, the conductor prepares an appropriate repertoire and program.

The „Emmanuel” choir is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

Conductor - Halyna Bulavinets

Halyna Bulavinets graduated from the Vasyl Barvinsky Music College in Drohobych, and then from the Ivan Franko Pedagogical University of Drohobych in 1996 – specializing in conducting choir and vocal ensemble. From 1999 to 2019 she worked as a conductor of the children’s choir at the Music School in Kaluga. Since 2019, she has worked as a lecturer of singing and voice emission at the School of Culture and Arts in Kaluga. In addition, he is the leader and conductor of the „Namisto” Vocal Ensemble, which operates at the School of Music and Cultural Center in Kaluga. Since 2005 she has been a member of the Franciszek Karpinski Society for Polish Culture in Kalush. From 2003 to 2009 she sang in the Parish Choir , „Noemi” in Kaluga, and from 2010 to 2017 she was a chorister in the Choir , „Emmanuel”, operating at the Union of Polish Language Teachers of Ivano-Frankivsk Region in Dolina. Since 2017, she has been the conductor of the aforementioned „Emmanuel” Choir, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.
